The Remedy is the medicine or process that restores one to peace, our natural state of being. We know it when we feel it so it’s safe to say this state is better felt than explained. As I allow my roots to stretch deeper and deeper into devotion, I find there are infinite layers to peace. With my music, meditations, visual art and offerings as a drum circle facilitator, I do my best to assist dear souls like yourself to explore the power of peace creatively and simply be. When we are aware in our natural state of being, all else follows suit.
As much as I would love to say that peace is easy to experience and maintain, I must be honest and say that it requires a great deal of consistency, patience, surrender and letting go to injoy. Sometimes as soon as you get to a deeper awareness of it, a myriad of challenges may spring forth to offer you the opportunity to deepen your resolve even more.
No matter what level of peace you may be seeking on your journey, perhaps you will find value in my daily approach to peace through my remedy routine.
Daily Bread
The routines that we subscribe to daily can put us on track for wellness and wonderful success. At the end of 2023, I decided that I wanted to deepen my devotion and commit to eating, drinking, thinking, singing and resting in the remedy. For those of you who have invested in a copy of my first book, you learned how I battled with anxiety, stress, and doubt even as I enjoyed abundant career success. Now as I prepare to step back into the lime light more frequently - I am choosing to do so from my natural state of being - balanced, well and peaceful. Daily I do my best to set time aside to do the things that facilitate my inspirience of my natural state. I created a mnemonic device to make this process easy for me to commit to as well as share with you.
Read
I aim to create time when I rise to read and reflect on something that nurtures my interest. Lately, I have been pushing myself to put down the phone and get into a book. Reading pleases me and nurtures my appreciation for learning.
Exercise
In December of last year, I decided to add push ups and squats to my daily workouts. I do 11 push ups in the morning soon after I get up and before hitting the shower in the evening, I knock out 33 squats. Once the equinox arrives I plan get back into my tabata flow workouts which I love because each exercise is quick and effective.
Meditate
Of course meditation is apart of my daily practice. Sometimes, I focus simply on my breath. Other times I may listen to the Abundaverse Chakra Meditations or select a guided flow from the abundance that youtube has to offer.
Enjoy
Each day I aim to be in joy. In joy with my creator, in joy with the direction my journey is taking me, and in joy with the lessons that come as I move and groove.
Decide
Where my focus goes, energy flows. With this remembrance, I decide to direct my thoughts to gratitude as much as I can through the groove of the day. As I decide what to wear, what to work on, what to eat etc. I aim to make those decisions in ways that add value to the experience of my day.
Yield
As I move through my day according to my plans and decisions, I also hold space to yield to the Master Creator. I keep my sights open for opportunities to let go and trust that all is working for my good.
What about you?
