Alot Can Happen in a Year
This time last year, I was blessed to experience a month filled with opportunities to share my love through drum circles at 7 different libraries in celebration of Black history month. I extend Abunda-gratitude to John Light Jr and Kasey Haessler who are the two librarians who facilitated this awesome partnership with these Live Oak Library Branches. It was such a pleasure to build so many new connections in a fun and fulfilling way. It was also a supreme honor to have Dan Scott of WJCL come out and document the goodness of the groovy circle I facilitated at the Islands library.

As I reflect on last year, I do recall that my schedule was so packed with goodness that I wasn't able to attend the 1st annual Black Arts Expo. My mother, Taunya Benton, did and told me all about how she deeply enjoyed the well attended experience. Inspired by her joy around it, I knew this Expo was an experience I'd like to participate in when the next opportunity to do so was presented.
A Dose of The Remedy
This past Saturday I was blessed to do just that. Not only was I able to set up a vending table full of Abundaverse Art offerings, but I also joined the list of talented performers for the expo experience. My set included a live offering of my 2019 Indie Award Channel Award winning single, Nouri. It also included a double dose of nu musical medicine soon to be released this month. We send Abunda- gratitude to Richard Burkhart of Savannah Now for documenting the experience.

Abunda-Love
During the 4 hour event there was little time for me to walk around and explore as myself and my mother were buzzing with engaging supporters. It was so awesome to meet new faces and to continue to feel the love from dear souls like you who constantly encourage me to do what I do.
Special thankhs to Tasheca Hutchinson and the entire staff over at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center who worked diligently to ensure that the 2nd Annual Black Arts Expo was a sweet success. I'd also like to thankh my producer, Eric Winbush and Q for all your hands on support and assistance for my performance.
